Who we are
ATREA s.r.o. is a Czech company started as early as 1990. Since its foundation it has been working intensely on energy savings, the quality of the indoor environment of buildings and the effect of buildings on the environment. In 2005 we expanded our activities to become one of the first companies in the Czech Republic to get systematically involved in the development, construction, support and promotion of energy-passive houses (EPD).
At the turn of 2006-7 we completed a pilot large-scale development project of twelve passive houses and a training centre in the village of Koberovy in Cesky raj. This unique endeavour has been followed by the successful completion of dozens of energy-passive ATREA-system wooden houses all around the Czech Republic.
ATREA s.r.o. is one of the founding members of major professional and interest associations supporting and promoting modern and efficient trends in the building industry.
Significant events marking the company’s history in the field
of construction of passive houses using the ATREA system
- 1990 The company was founded.
- 2005 The establishment of the division Energy Passive Houses (EPD).
- 2006 The Jury Award at the Energy Project 2005 competition for the large-scale development project of twelve passive houses and a training centre in the village of Koberovy in Cesky raj.
- 2006/2007 13 passive “Koberovy” houses completed in the village of Koberovy in Cesky raj. The complex also includes a shows house and ATREA's training centre, the first Zero House in the Czech Republic..
- 2008 The Main Award at the Energy Project 2007 competition for building twelve passive houses and a training centre in the village of Koberovy in Cesky raj.
- 2009 The first passive house completed using the new generation ATREA system with a diffusion-open envelope.
- 2010 ATREA-system passive house No. 40 completed.
